Later, not tonight, I will write a personal essay about how Arrested Development has changed my life. Here is the outline of the essay.

1. The first flame:
a. Bonding with Brobeck
b. Watching the episodes over and over on my own
i. abandoning certain people to wait on park benches
ii. not calling people back--would rather watch it alone
iii. not making any friends really, would rather watch characters interact.

2. The reconnect
a. my brother
b. my advisor, who said buying the dvd wasn't 'surface detail' - was a true reason to be happy
c. 72% on japanese midterm
d. my new friends, teddy goff and rachel m, who i would not have met otherwise.

3. the washout
a. party on december whatever. weeping in the street. wearing all black. gouging eyes out with rough spoons. thumbing rides to la. commiserating hatefuly. being spoon fed ice cream.
b. a story i wrote today that i realize is stolen loosely from tobias' perspective. but with a different name, and nudity nudity nudity.

I checked in some on-reserve AD DVDs today and hesitated hungrily over them.

this post is fair-to-middling inspirational. not Teen Wolf Too-inspirational, but...
